Watching Zeihan's you tubes this summer it felt more like he was agnostic on Ukraine. He has been consistently commenting on how Russia is destroying itself from within, but like most of the punditry there was a change in acknowledgment of how well Ukraine was doing in August and that sentiment has been growing.

I hadn't heard that there was a big change at you tube, that should rattle some cages.

Also, there seems to be some kind of drama going on. A lot of popular youtube channels commenting on the war in Ukraine got demonetized today and there is a great deal of confusion out there. Apparently a lot of totally unrelated channels got demonetized as well.

It isn't clear to me if this youtube's algorithms going pear-shaped or some kind of information operation. But I suspect the former and not the latter.

It is pretty obvious by Ukraine's actions in the last month that they intend to win this war and believe they can do so.

This is kind of a "honey badger don't care" moment: except that Ukraine is clearly saying they don't care about tactical nuclear weapons or hundreds of thousands of Russian reinforcements.

Also, Zeihan has been saying for a long time that Russia will inevitably win this war. I've honestly been skeptical about that from the start, and their performance so far has made me even more skeptical. This is really the first time I've heard him say something different.
