Ok, I'll google him and find out what he's about. I know his name. If he can be a moderate Republican, or have the values that the Republican party used to have, I would be fine with that.

I’d be tickled pink if Joel Kretz would run for governor. What a down to earth guy. He is republican but votes both ways depending on what’s right. I doubt he would run but I’d sure vote for him.

Did they go back and revise that long term care bill? Or not do it? I agree that many things should not be mandated and that is one of them. But we do pay the Family Leave for our employee part only, which is 2 of us and it isn't much. We will never claim that as we wouldn't need to. But maybe people in need can tap into that.
And I realized Newhouse and McMorris aren't going to run for Gov! That would be a step down for them.
I can't think of any candidates either from either party. Guess we have to see how the mid-terms pan out.
Thanks.

A couple of things soured me on Inslee... I believed his "mandates" were very discriminatory and punative on various worker groups and small businesses. More king like decrees than working solutions out with other affected parties and business. Then the elected insurance commissioner, but under his reign, decided to remove credit score factors from the determination of home owners insurance costs. That cost me a 20% rise in cost alone plus the other increases due to replacement cost increases. I know many limited income residents in the Valley that this has significantly affected. Not a fan of the mandatory long term care bill taxes either.

I can't think of any candidates at the moment... Just like for president... We need a new batch of politicians who have vision and a plan for us to navigate the future. All this bickering crap gives little hope for our kids and grandkids future... Has me very worried.

Now, Ray, I'm only curious. I can't think of a candidate, so am wondering if you have any ideas? I'm usually a democrat, but if I like what the Republicans say, then I could go that way. I want the best candidate, that does have experience.
But please not Newhouse or McMorris. Her latest newsletter is doom and gloom and very negative. As Joe asked yesterday, what are Republicans for?

Who would you like to see replace Inslee? He might run for President again, but I don't see him as that strong of candidate.

That is downright scary! But at least he would be out of WA... :-)

He took a trip to Chicago not long ago that gives a clue of what is on his agenda
