Statement from Sen Maria Cantwell on FAA Re Authorization Act
'As chief architect and lead negotiator of this landmark legislation, Sen Maria Cantwell, chair of the Senate Commerce Committee released the following statement:
'This landmark law is about reinforcing and reinvigorating the nation's aviation system...airports will have more air traffic controllers in towers and bigger investment in runway safety and technology.'
Anyone like to hazard a guess as to which party argued for less Federal funding for air safety?
The article is from last May. As the news of the Black Hawk/American Airlines tragedy unfolds it's noted that Trump/Musk's new policies hit the FAA hard and at least one comptroller was doing double duty because there weren't enough staff.

Apparently started on April 11th, 2019...

Screen shot because I'm sure the link will disappear down the memory hole soon:
For the Village Idiots, Joe Biden WAS NOT PRESIDENT in April of 2019. Neither was Barack Obama. You get one guess as to who was President in 2019.
