It is flooding towns and agricultural land and is happening simultaneously with an atmospheric river of rain hitting the same area. There's nothing environmentalist about what he's doing whatsoever. Zero. Zip.
Meanwhile, California is prepositioning resources to deal with the landslides and flooding that is now exacerbated by Trump's Fed'l release of water from the reservoirs. Come summer there will be that much less water in storage to help fight wildfires.

I am thrilled of Trump being the environmentalist so many discredit him for. He is letting the water run free for all the animals and fishes. He is giving life to a dry land and dismal streams. I am not in opposition of him helping nature above financial interests.

If it weren't for the misspellings and copy and pastes in the EO's I'd be suspicious that AI was driving much of Trump's choices. This morning Vance is branching out, accusing the Catholic Church of offering safe haven to immigrants because it gets them $. Calif has large investments in desal plants. Apparently though Mr. Trump is not aware of that and believes that there is a spigot he can order to be turned on somewhere up in the PNW that can then magically flow down to Calif. His disconnect with reality just boggles the mind.

in Naval nuclear plants, a big part was to distill salt water into fresh water. I have seen on St John US Virgin Islands desalination plants that serve the island with reverse osmosis plants. There is no water shortage where the ocean is so plentiful so full of water.
