I think Kitling Peak is to the N of McGregor Mountain? If that is the case it is a distinctly difficult place to get to in the North Cascades...

Abundant lightning moved through the northwest July 17-18th igniting several new fires. In addition to the Easy Fire, another fire on Kitling Peak was discovered burning in extremely steep and inaccessible terrain.

In this aerial imagery of Kitling Peak, you can predominantly see rock screes, rock outcroppings, and extremely rugged terrain.

The Pioneer and Easy Fires Incident Management Team will also be assuming command of the fire on Kitling Peak. It is currently approximately three acres and helicopters have been dropping water on it to keep it in check. Fire managers are continuing to assess the situation and appropriate actions to take.
