I know a lot of us have our complaints about the Winthrop Thriftway. Fair is fair, though, and I wanted to thank them for their decision to stop selling firewood during the total fire ban. A lot of businesses here won't do that. I've never understood why they refuse to do so.

Honestly, anything we do to reduce the odds of idiots destroying our homes is worthwhile. Not that idiots aren't often ingenious and clever.
