I do wonder if the salmon are now "hot" from the Columbia where it is near Hanford. Question is if taking out the dams, will the alternative energy be enough to replace them. The gov't, at the time, didn't care one whit, if they flooded the tribes land.
My dad was in the Corps of Engineers and he helped build dams and then helped maintain them. We lived at one for most of my life. This was in Kansas. These dams were flood control projects, not hydro.
Back then, when they built the dams, they did move burial grounds, from the area to be flooded. I supposed this was a consecration too. He told me they had to sift through the graves and they found mostly hair and fingernails.
At least there is acknowledgement now.
