Boy, talk about “missing the forest for the trees”! It will be interesting to see how many millions the legacy and ‘deep thinking’ media will have to pay to Trump for all the lies, distortions and defamation they’ve inflicted all these years! $15m from ABC/snuffolofogus is a good start (Clinton hack)

Vivick and Elon and the other cabinet billionaires come to mind as far as the overeducated you refer to Ken.
Lent doesn't necessarily have an agenda to push. Just some thoughts and ideas that are far different than yours.

Always happy to give credit to the local wisdom, but you may be surprised to hear this, there's a whole other world out there that can't be captured by local wisdom.

It's always the incurious that miss the forest through the trees.

Even “deep thinkers” when operating from or promoting false or twisted premises can be far off base. Over educated idiots run rampant these days. I’ll take a wise and principled ranch or farm worker who uses practicality and experience over some knucklehead with lots of letters behind their name but no real world wisdom or more likely an agenda to push.

Thanks Rideback. Yes he is a deep thinker, and we know someone that isn't.

The author, Jeremy Lent, background:
'Jeremy Lent, described by Guardian journalist George Monbiot as “one of the greatest thinkers of our age,” is an author and speaker whose work investigates the underlying causes of our civilization’s existential crisis, and explores pathways toward a life-affirming future.

Born in London, England, Lent received a BA in English Literature from Cambridge University, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and was a former internet company CEO.

His award-winning book, The Patterning Instinct: A Cultural History of Humanity's Search for Meaning, explores the way humans have made meaning from the cosmos from hunter-gatherer times to the present day.

His new book, The Web of Meaning: Integrating Science and Traditional Wisdom to Find Our Place in the Universe, offers a coherent and intellectually solid foundation for a worldview based on connectedness that could lead humanity to a sustainable, flourishing future.

He is the founder of the Deep Transformation Network, a global community exploring pathways to an ecological civilization, and the nonprofit Liology Institute, dedicated to fostering an integrated worldview that could enable humanity to thrive sustainably on the Earth. He lives with his partner in Berkeley, California.

Lent writes topical articles exploring the deeper patterns of political and cultural developments at Patterns of Meaning.'

Only your little opinion. Lent is mentioning all the Trump admin. wants to do. You talk about further division. If someone doesn't agree with your values or ideas, you say they are being divisive. We aren't allowed to have our ideas or values? Only yours are right? Hah. Wrongo.
You mean you actually read the long piece?

You guys read some pretty stupid people who don’t get what’s going on, continue to perpetuate lies and lead readers farther afield and further division. But whatever, keep to your bull*** and thrash around wildly!
