* unemployment rate highest since 2021 (pandemic)
* consumer confidence near record-low
* more than 1.1 million jobs lost
* lowest hiring since 2009
* lowest first year presidential approval in modern history (again!)
* 24% of Americans satisfied with the direction of the country
* 68% say economic conditions are getting worse.
