The way I look at it there aren't enough police in Okanogan County to arrest 300 people. At least all at once.
That generalizes to the whole country. There aren't anywhere near the law enforcement resources to do anything effective about protests this large. Even if you add the military in at maximum effort (which would take months) it probably wouldn't be enough. In the short term the military could add enough people to get protestors more upset and encourage more people to protest but not much else.
Like I say, too many streets and not enough tanks.
And, on the bright side, a military that is cracking protester's heads in Seattle is a military that isn't invading Canada.
