Re: I stand with the Ukraine...
Interesting how the Orange Rapist is now walking back his comments about Zelensky and Ukraine.
Depending on how the next couple of weeks play out we may be in far too much trouble here to help Ukraine very much anyway.

It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The vocabulary, education and understanding of history, politics and economics of ken is so limited and sparse that he can’t post anything without calling someone dumba**, Dips**t or jackass.
True sign of a limited knowledge and education…no reasoning, no real argument, no sources…..just continue the verbal diarrhea…..and treat everyone like you are on the 4th grade playground.
Hmmmmmm - what orange-faced, diaper wearing, FELON pernsidernt does the same thing?

Would that be the policies of the former President Biden that led the US to produce AND export more energy than at ANY other time in our history….more than any other President. And more than ANY other Country in the world, now, or at any time in history?dorankj wrote: Mon Mar 03, 2025 12:31 pm Look who the war hawks are now! Re: I stand with the Ukraine...
The Felon's actions and those of his cabal are much more likely to trigger WWIII than anything else.
Right now Ukraine has every reason to inflict the maximum amount of hurt on Russia that it possibly can. No matter what Western applecarts may be tipped over in the process. And we've got a lot of applecarts that can easily be tipped over.
Just saying, but Ukraine has demonstrated that they can perform precision strikes a considerable distance inside of Russia with locally produced weaponry. Oil pipelines and pumping stations are almost impossible to protect and with the sanctions in place will take a long time to rebuild. It wouldn't take much luck for Ukraine to substantially reduce the amount of crude oil that makes it to world markets. That would cause a dramatic increase in world oil prices (and a dramatic increase on what we pay for unleaded gasoline here) and would strangle Russia financially.
When I say "dramatic" I mean even a small reduction in total oil supply might cause a doubling of prices over the short term. So think about what life will be life with $8/gallon gas.

Tristan, thank you for your positivity induced cannibas funk. Ken you are really flipping out about WWIII. Are you really so afraid of Putin that you would kiss his and #47 rings or maybe lick their feet?

ANPS:
"There is a significant shift happening in our country—one that many of you have noticed. Our goal is to keep providing you with more details to understand what’s unfolding.
Policy Shift and Public Statements
Liesyl Franz, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Cybersecurity at the State Department, recently delivered a speech at the United Nations addressing cybersecurity threats. In her remarks, she specifically cited concerns regarding China and Iran but notably omitted any mention of Russia. This omission marks a stark departure from previous U.S. positions, which consistently identified Russia’s cyber activities as a major threat.
Internal Directives at CISA
A recent memo from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), part of the Department of Homeland Security, outlined new priorities for the agency, which is responsible for monitoring cyber threats against U.S. critical infrastructure. The directive emphasized threats from China and the protection of local systems but made no mention of Russia.
Analysts at the agency were instructed not to track or report on Russian threats, despite this previously being a core focus for CISA. Additionally, the Trump administration has reassigned officials at CISA who were responsible for safeguarding elections from cyberattacks and other efforts to disrupt voting.
What’s Happening?
There are dozens of highly organized, state-sponsored Russian hacker teams actively working to undermine U.S. national security. These groups are dedicated to either inflicting damage on government agencies, infrastructure, and commercial interests or conducting large-scale information theft. Their primary objective is to maintain persistent access to U.S. computer systems, posing an ongoing and evolving threat to national security."

In a large and notable setback for Russia, Ukraine retook Toretsk (in the Donbas region) yesterday.

Re: I stand with the Ukraine...
Ken, Trump was not president when Ukraine was invaded by Russia, Trump did not send javelins like you claim.
Andy Kim: responding to the picture taken yesterday of the presser with Vance, Trump & Zelensky:
"This is the most telling photo I’ve seen — Trump/Vance berating a wartime leader fighting against invasion directly in front of a bust of Churchill. It looks like Churchill is seated in the back, watching Trump kill the very US-Europe alliance that Churchill helped forge.
Why was the Oval Office exchange so humiliating to watch? It’s because every American alive today was born after the Greatest Generation led America’s rise to global leadership. What we saw yesterday was a surrender that could very well lead to American decline.
What we saw was a retreat from three basic pillars of American leadership: reliability, values, and impact. These are pillars that have been built over generations - from Americans landing on the beaches of Normandy onwards.
RELIABILITY: After Vance’s Munich speech, a Euro leader asked me, “If Russia attacks a NATO nation, would Trump respond to Article 5 defense?” We got our answer yesterday, despite fact that Article 5 was only ever used to defend America after 9/11. I didn’t hear Vance say “Thank you” too in his speech.
If America isn’t reliable - if we can’t be trusted to hold true to our word - then why would our adversaries believe that we’d defend our allies? Why would our allies trust us with intelligence that could be used to defend ourselves? Why would they come to our defense?
VALUES: Earlier this week, the US voted against a UN resolution calling for Russia to end its illegal invasion. Walking away from our values is not just a retreat from American leadership, it’s a reversal in everything people have fought for over generations.
Putting democracies before dictators is an American value. Standing up for our partners under attack is an American value. Never surrendering to bullies who want to hoard power at the expense of people who just want freedom and opportunity is an American value.
IMPACT: That’s why Churchill came to America 8 decades ago, to remind us of our leadership role and the impact it has around the world. To tell us that when American leadership retreats, our enemies fill the void.
Churchill reminded us that when America steps up:
“The subjugated peoples of Europe to lift up their heads again in hope. They have put aside forever the shameful temptation of resigning themselves to the conqueror's will. Hope has returned to the hearts of scores of millions of men and women, and with that hope there burns the flame of anger against the brutal, corrupt invader.”
Trump should think of Churchill not as just a prop in the Oval Office, but as a reminder that American strength comes from our ability to forge a coalition together. It’s not about bullying, it’s about leading"

Re: I stand with the Ukraine...
The only reason Ukraine is getting screwed over now is because Trump wants revenge for his impeachment (oh, his first impeachment) in 2020, which he blames on Ukraine and Zelensky personally.

Re: I stand with the Ukraine...
Trump had a previous term dumbasses and yes, exactly if Biden wanted to take back all the land and ‘win’ he could have tried that but he didn’t and 100s of thousands died and hundreds of billions were spent just like Vietnam and now we have utter failure (just like Afghanistan withdrawal). Biden/Obama and the dems are complete failures and always seem to make things far worse in spite of what they say. Now someone has to be a adult and get results!
