Trump hasn't gotten anything done that resembles peace. He is threatening allies like Canada and Mexico and Ukraine. Norway is now refusing to refuel today our submarines, because of the bullying of Zelensky yesterday.

Russia has never kept a promise of a ceasefire yet and with Trump refusing to add security to the deal he left no opening for a peace talk. As Snyder points out, Russia is the one that must come to the table with a cease fire and sign agreements not to reiniatiate this aggression.

Know your argument Ken. https://www.vox.com/2014/10/6/6829675/s ... organizing

Then again, I'm not surprised that you don't believe that a democracy should engage in community activism. You're in the camp that believes that violence is the answer to every problem, that bullying is simply a tool to force anyone who disagrees with you to comply, that believes women shouldn't have control of their own bodies or vote, that believes that people of color aren't allowed, that helping a friend in trouble is a worthless effort.

You can't argue your way out of this because you have defended each one of those statements in one way or another every time you post here.

My plan? Impeach #47 and Vance for treason.
And here is why. Russian press was let into Oval office.

Vance has not been getting the attention. Elon has usurped him, so Vance had to jump in.

We support ending an unwinable war, prevent the killing of millions and stopping lukewarm escalation until the nukes break out! What’s the dems plan? Keep spending billions for a stalemate? Keep killing 10s of thousands (Putin wins the body count)? Send in our troops? You guys are full of sh** and obviously don’t believe all crap you used on Bush and the reps to end those wars. Such utter hypocrit freaks and your TDS brain rot.

Per usual, ken just keeps lying to himself. It’s how he squares his beliefs with what he WANTS to be seeing. He really can’t have a honest conversation in his own head - much less with anyone else, either.

Same thing happened in Germany in the 1930’s.

Good question, where are all the Trump supporters cheering on their guy?

Meanwhile, Kash Patel's first video conference with FBI
'The newly appointed director discussed the idea during his first video conference call with the bureau's 55 field office supervisors on Wednesday, said the people, who were granted anonymity to discuss the call's contents because they were not authorized to speak publicly. Two people briefed on the matter said current FBI agents described the idea as "surreal" and "wacky."

The FBI declined to comment.

President Donald Trump is a fan of the sport, mixed martial arts bouts that pit two competitors against each other in a cage, and notably attended a UFC event in New York days after his November election victory, sitting with UFC President Dana White, who he counts as a close friend.

A UFC official said the UFC is "not aware of any information regarding UFC and FBI training."

Why have most of the trump supporters gone quiet lately?? Shouldn't they be out in the streets cheering on their great leader?

Yes, and no matter what the opposition stated with facts and data, they will still vote for it. But it will come to haunt them.

The Reps are voting on their budget now. Their budget adds $2 trillion to the deficit, extends $4.5 trillion in tax cuts to the wealthy, and slashes $880 billion from Medicaid among other deep cuts.

Uncertainty and fear help create anxiety. The next generation doesn't know where the planet is headed and why they should even have kids.
Keep the masses destabilized and things start to wobble.
I used FB during the fires. The forest service used it and I could find more up to date info, than other sites. There are alot of articles on there that are good, but some are fake. One has to be discerning and have some analytical skills and intellect to scan FB.

I think you are right, David….FB has that feedback loop that reinforces a particular viewpoint. Likewise I have run onto folks who say things like ‘I don’t watch TV news anymore, I get everything from U-tube’.

I don't really want to be fair to Trump supporters. But honesty compels me to admit that most of them live in an artificially created media bubble where those stories don't penetrate. Or they just don't consume news at all.

There are a number of things going on here.

One is that propaganda efforts in this day and age are what would be considered "mind control" or "brainwashing" thirty or forty years ago. And they have for all practical purposes the same effects. I think the combination of scary big data analytics with the ability to (almost) personalize messaging, all done on a massive scale, has proven itself incredibly effective. I also don't think it is a coincidence that many Trump supporters consider Facebook to be their primary source of information about current events. If you think about it, Facebook is nearly perfectly designed for developing personalized targeted messaging for whatever purpose you might consider, whether to sell a product or sell a political ideology. Worse, in the short to medium term this propaganda technology is likely to improve massively while at the same time dramatically becoming less expensive.

Another one is that we appear to be in the midst of a mental health apocalypse. Worse, nobody seems to have a solid theory of exactly why this is happening. It also appears to be manifesting itself internationally, with no clear correlations visible which could give us a hint as to why this is all going on right now. Whatever is going on it seems to be happening most intensely with young people -- in some surveys as many as three out of four people under thirty say they have serious issues with anxiety and depression. Although on the other end of the age spectrum suicide rates amongst men over fifty-five has increased dramatically in the last twenty years. So something messed up is going on.

A real question from a Trump supporter: ‘Why do liberals think Trump supporters are stupid?’

THE SERIOUS ANSWER: Here’s what the majority of anti-Trump voters honestly feel about Trump supporters en masse:
That when you saw a man who had owned a fraudulent University, intent on scamming poor people, you thought "Fine." (https://www.usatoday.com/.../trump-univ ... 502387002/)
That when you saw a man who had made it his business practice to stiff his creditors, you said, "Okay." (https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-hotel-paid-millions...)
That when you heard him proudly brag about his own history of sexual abuse, you said, "No problem." (https://abcnews.go.com/.../list-trumps- ... s.../story...)
That when he made up stories about seeing Muslim-Americans in the thousands cheering the destruction of the World Trade Center, you said, "Not an issue." (https://www.washingtonpost.com/.../donald-trumps.../)
That when you saw him brag that he could shoot a man on Fifth Avenue and you wouldn't care, you exclaimed, "He sure knows me." (https://www.usatoday.com/.../president- ... 073405002/)
That when you heard him relating a story of an elderly guest of his country club, an 80-year old man, who fell off a stage and hit his head, to Trump replied: “‘Oh my God, that’s disgusting,’ and I turned away. I couldn’t—you know, he was right in front of me, and I turned away. I didn’t want to touch him. He was bleeding all over the place. And I felt terrible, because it was a beautiful white marble floor, and now it had changed color. Became very red.” You said, "That's cool!" (https://www.gq.com/story/donald-trump-h ... tern-story)
That when you saw him mock the disabled, you thought it was the funniest thing you ever saw. (https://www.nbcnews.com/.../donald-trum ... ized-after...)
That when you heard him brag that he doesn't read books, you said, "Well, who has time?" (https://www.theatlantic.com/.../america ... ../549794/)
That when the Central Park Five were compensated as innocent men convicted of a crime they didn't commit, and he angrily said that they should still be in prison, you said, "That makes sense." (https://www.usatoday.com/.../what-trump ... 501321001/)
That when you heard him tell his supporters to beat up protesters and that he would hire attorneys, you thought, "Yes!" (https://www.latimes.com/.../la-na-trump ... n-protests...)
That when you heard him tell one rally to confiscate a man's coat before throwing him out into the freezing cold, you said, "What a great guy!" (https://www.independent.co.uk/.../donald-trump-orders...)
That you have watched the parade of neo-Nazis and white supremacists with whom he curries favor, while refusing to condemn outright Nazis, and you have said, "Thumbs up!" (https://www.theatlantic.com/.../why-can ... ../567320/)
That you hear him unable to talk to foreign dignitaries without insulting their countries and demanding that they praise his electoral win, you said, "That's the way I want my President to be." (https://www.huffpost.com/.../trump-insult-foreign...)
That you have watched him remove expertise from all layers of government in favor of people who make money off of eliminating protections in the industries they're supposed to be regulating and you have said, "What a genius!" (https://www.politico.com/.../138-trump-policy-changes...)
That you have heard him continue to profit from his businesses, in part by leveraging his position as President, to the point of overcharging the Secret Service for space in the properties he owns, and you have said, "That's smart!" (https://www.usnews.com/.../how-is-donal ... -profiting...)
That you have heard him say that it was difficult to help Puerto Rico because it was in the middle of water and you have said, "That makes sense." (https://www.washingtonpost.com/.../the- ... -ocean.../)
That you have seen him start fights with every country from Canada to New Zealand while praising Russia and quote, "falling in love" with the dictator of North Korea, and you have said, "That's statesmanship!" (https://www.cnn.com/.../donald-trump-di ... index.html)
That Trump separated children from their families and put them in cages, managed to lose track of 1500 kids, has opened a tent city incarceration camp in the desert in Texas - he explains that they’re just “animals” - and you say, “Well, OK then.” (https://www.nbcnews.com/.../more-5-400-children-split...)
That you have witnessed all the thousand and one other manifestations of corruption and low moral character and outright animalistic rudeness and contempt for you, the working American voter, and you still show up grinning and wearing your MAGA hats and threatening to beat up anybody who says otherwise. (https://www.americanprogress.org/.../co ... g-cost.../)
What you don't get, Trump supporters, is that our succumbing to frustration and shaking our heads, thinking of you as stupid, may very well be wrong and unhelpful, but it's also... hear me... charitable.
Because if you're NOT stupid, we must turn to other explanations, and most of them are less flattering.
