You’ll soon learn, Vern….now that FATSO is going to drown CDC FDA, etc - and appoint crack-pot RFK - what it means to eat infected eggs, poultry and meat. And not get the latest medicines.

Enjoy! As MC says - YOU OWN THIS!

Alternatively- you COULD move to Arkansas! I’m sure they dont bother with such WOKE sh*t, there!

Also, gas prices have gone up every day of the 2nd Trump administration.

Your guy is in charge. That means he and you broke it and bought it. Have fun.

I don't care about Trump Derangement Syndrome. I want an explanation about Trump's Derangement Syndrome.
No not saying the risk of avian or bird flu should be allowed to run rampantbut I'm also not blaming anyone in particular that the cost of eggs has gone up except place the blame where it belongs fewer chickens laying eggs means fewer eggs at the market and suppliers and sellers price accordingly. The loss of chickens locally, according to posted comments was by predators (bobcats and weasels) supposedly
Funny I was able to purchase diesel last Fri for under $4.00 per gal which hasn't happened in 4 years and still can't in the valley. Gas was 3.79. So maybe we should blame local suppliers for the high prices not someone 1000's of miles away

Seems those that have TDS and are saying that because the price of eggs is still high fail to take into consideration that the Biden Admin Dept of Agriculture ordered the killing of millions of chickens that were laying eggs so say 1 million less chickens equals how many fewer eggs being laid on a daily basis.
Locally just looking at the other BB how many locals lost egg layers so far this winter? I suppose that some will place blame on Trump for that too.

The current President did promise to bring down prices on day one. That was a few days ago.

If they were just greedy and corrupt there would be a crony capitalist carve out for Archer Daniels Midland and Tyson Foods that would keep the proles from starving. I'm just not certain they are competent enough to figure that out.

They are not showing up because they are afraid of Trump's deportation sweeps.

Are they not showing up because they have left the country or bird flu? Or both?

Calif and Texas both are reporting agriculture workers are not showing up, more than 25% so when the tariffs kick in we'll see all grocery prices rise. I hear Cheerios are fortified with all kinds of good stuff so America will be just fine.

Price of eggs

Post by mister_coffee »

... is up 37 percent in the first five days of Trump's term.

At that rate by January of 2029 a dozen eggs will cost over $500. And probably $1200 at the Winthrop Thriftway.
