The extremism is remarkable, as is the noise level of the screeching. Now JD Vance is promoting the theory on Joe Rogan's show that kids like the 'transgender thing' because it gives them an inroad to get into college.

From Timothy Snyder, today…..

https://snyder.substack.com/p/the-stron ... -and-audio?

The following are quotations from Donald Trump’s closing campaign rally last week and the Nazi rally of the American German Bund in 1939.

Her and her pimp handlers will destroy our country

To attempt to thwart the will of nature by indiscriminately mixing the races of the world to produce some artificial standard human race is madness

'You know what? Kamala Harris, she got 85 million votes because she’s just so impressive.' As the first Samoan, Malaysian, low IQ, former California prosecutor ever to be elected president, it was just a groundswell of popular support and anyone who thinks otherwise is just a freak or a criminal.

There never has been and there can be no 'international' or 'interracial' culture

We carved watermelons together

Everyone knows she is a very low IQ individual

The Democrat party has forgotten about Americans. Rather than cater to Americans, they decided: 'You know what? It would just be easier to replace them with people who will be reliable voters'

I will stop the invasion of criminals coming into our country

They’re eating the pets up there

The United States is now an occupied country, but it will soon be an occupied country no longer

And these Latinos, they love making babies too. Just know that. They do. They do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside, just like they did to our country.

The Gentile American worker is being sold down the river by international Jewish interests

But the f**king illegals, they get whatever they want, don’t they?

Jews have a hard time throwing that paper.

The Jew is most concerned with maintaining his stranglehold on the financial systems

They are indeed the enemy from within, but this is who we’re fighting.

They are now full-on to Marxism and socialism.

The menace of anti-national, God-hating Jewish-Bolshevism is deliberately minimized

Radical left Marxist rated even worse than crazy Bernie Sanders

The most sinister and corrupt forces on Earth

There’s only one person alive today that can fix all of it

If you like, see if you can tell which is which.

Once you have sorted it out, see if that makes anything better.

Donald Trump is working within a tradition, and he knows it.

You all also need to remember that his crazier and more extreme followers (if that is even imaginable) are arguing for beheading their opponents. Live on yootoobe. And do any of you think that it will all stop with just Liz Cheney? They have a very long list of enemies. At some point they inevitably turn on themselves as well, but by then there will be a very large pile of bodies behind them.

This is starting to look more like Mao's Cultural Revolution or the Khmer Rouge back in the day than anything the Nazis did.

Trump has decided to put Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad. Here's the video
https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/01/politics ... index.html

In his own words, he demonstrates why he should never be President again.

Steve Schmidt 'The Warning"

"Killing Liz.

With about 120 hours left until the first polls close on the east coast of the United States, a seething Donald Trump told Tucker Carlson the following:

Let's put her with a rifle standing there with 9 barrels shooting at her. Let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face.

No doubt, soon, Donald Trump will deny making the comments, deny knowing Liz, claim that he was joking, claim that Tucker Carlson really said it, or maybe pretend that it never happened at all. Perhaps he will do all of that, and then say he was reading love poetry to a woman whom he will protect no matter what. Whatever confusion remains, someone will attempt to clean this up.

Just for the record, I’m old enough to remember when Donald made clear that whether they like it or not, he is going to protect women like he did the Miss Teen USA contestants in Atlantic City. Last time I checked, Liz is a woman. Obviously, she didn’t make the cut.

At any rate, the candidate of love and unity has decided that Liz should face nine rifles at execution — which frankly is a bit much, given that most firing squads are made up of three or five members with one firing a blank round. Donald is a generous guy. He’s praised his daughter’s body, buried the wife whom he raped on his golf course, and no doubt wants to make sure that every executioner gets a live round and a chance to kill.

Trump told Carlson that he really wants Liz Cheney to see the rifles pointing at her. At least, he can’t be accused of not knowing her character. Typically, the executed are given a blindfold or a hood, but can request to face the fire clear-eyed. Knowing Liz, she will be the one doing the staring down right until the end.

I have a few questions:

Why does Liz have to die?

What did she do?

I have a thought experiment. It’s about killing.

I want you to think about the Madison Square Garden rally, and ask yourself some honest questions. I know that there are a great many members of the media who read these warnings, and I want them to think about something fairly and deeply.

Here are the questions:

If Donald Trump asked for nine volunteers from the audience to join the firing squad to kill Liz would nine people have volunteered?

What about if he asked for 90 people?

How about if he asked for 900?

What if the number was 9,000?

Coverage that focuses on Trump wanting to kill Liz Cheney misses the much larger point. Trump has built a fascist political movement that wants to kill Liz Cheney, or maybe it just wants to kill someone or something.

Remember her — Corey Lewandowski’s dog-killing mistress?

The cruelty is the point. An enduring facet of human nature is that when evil manifests itself the first instinct always seems to be denial.

Americans have just over 100 hours left to work through the last of our denial about the pancreatic cancer that has metastasized in our country known as MAGA.

See it for what it is.

When politicians promising autocracy commit to killing their opponents it is a promise that has never not been kept.

October has ended. November has arrived.

Wake up, America.

Kamala Harris for president."

Author Umberto Eco (1932-2016) - mostly known for his book ‘The Name of the Rose’,1983 - wrote about Fascism. Eco was an interesting character: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umberto_Eco

Here are the elements he identified….

“In an essay published in the New York Review of Books, Eco distilled the 14 typical elements of “Ur-Fascism or Eternal Fascism,” while warning that, “These features cannot be organized into a system; many of them contradict each other and are also typical of other kinds of despotism or fanaticism. But it is enough that one of them be present to allow fascism to coagulate around it.”

1. The cult of tradition. “One has only to look at the syllabus of every fascist movement to find the major traditionalist thinkers. The Nazi gnosis was nourished by traditionalist, syncretistic, occult elements.”
2. The rejection of modernism. “The Enlightenment, the Age of Reason, is seen as the beginning of modern depravity. In this sense, Ur-Fascism can be defined as irrationalism.”
3. The cult of action for action’s sale. “Action being beautiful in itself, it must be taken before, or without, any previous reflection. Thinking is a form of emasculation.”
4. Disagreement is treason. “The critical spirit makes distinctions, and to distinguish is a sign of modernism. In modern culture, the scientific community praises disagreement as a way to improve knowledge.”
5. Fear of difference. “The first appeal of a fascist or prematurely fascist movement is an appeal against the intruders. Thus Ur-Fascism is racist by definition.”
6.Appeal to social frustration. “[…] one of the most typical features of the historical fascism was the appeal to a frustrated middle class, a class suffering from an economic crisis or feelings of political humiliation, and frightened by the pressure of lower social groups.
7. The obsession with a plot. “The followers must feel besieged. The easiest way to solve the plot is the appeal to xenophobia.”
8. The enemy is both weak and strong. “[…] the followers must be convinced that they can overwhelm the enemies. Thus, by a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak.”
9. Pacifism is trafficking with the enemy. “For Ur-Fascism there is no struggle for life but, rather, life is lived for struggle.”
10. Contempt for the weak. “Elitism is a typical aspect of any reactionary ideology.”
11. Everybody is educated to become a hero. “in Ur-Fascist ideology, heroism is the norm. This cult of heroism is strictly linked with the cult of death.”
12. Machismo and Weaponry. “This is the origin of machismo (which implies both disdain for women and intolerance and condemnation of nonstandard sexual habits, from chastity to homosexuality). Since even sex is a difficult game to play, the Ur-Fascist hero tends to play with weapons—doing so becomes an ersatz phallic exercise.”
13. Selective Populism. “There is in our future a TV or Internet populism, in which the emotional response of a selected group of citizens can be presented and accepted as the Voice of the People.
14. Ur-Fascism speaks Newspeak. “All the Nazi or Fascist schoolbooks made use of an impoverished vocabulary, and an elementary syntax, in order to limit the instruments for complex and critical reasoning.”

In reviewing these points, it’s difficult not to think of current “television dictators,” in which politicians exercise a selective populism instigated by xenophobia, and in which the same political class is chosen from an elite of charismatic and photogenic people.“

#13 nails it pretty well, I think!
