I watched part of Trump's Georgia rally. Nothing but denigrating, rambling speaking. Nothing about making American great again. Which actually, America is not so bad.

The lack of good journalism vs click bait headline reporting is no doubt a large contributor to how quickly blogs caught on decades ago. The citizen journalism, investigations and analysis grew because it largely recognized stories that weren't being covered anywhere else. AND much of the reality-based sites were really good which is why they survived and often thrived.

These days Substack has provided a home to some of the best journalism out there without the overripened slant of corporate whataboutisms. Add that together and it's heartening to note how BigMedia is struggling to retain their viewership.

The thought that Fox, which is still buried in lawsuits following their mega judgment in the Dominion case that revealed their fraudulent practices, would even be considered as a host of a presidential debate doesn't even rise to the level of a bad joke. 'Never mind' may have worked for Gilda Radner but Fox can't be allowed that option.

If the smoke ever clears out in our society, it would be nice to have an adult conversation about how our news media has utterly failed society. Multiple times.

You don't even have to talk about how they cover Donald Trump. You can talk about how they talk about climate change. You can talk about how across most of the country nobody is covering what local governments are up to.

Funny to me how we can talk about record high temperatures being broken year after year, and having record high average temperatures year after year, and nobody seems to be putting it all together.

Too many intersections with the Egyptians and China were going on simultaneously with Russia.

Of course since the outgoing AG's office didn't loop in Merrick Garland about the investigation that Barr shutdown now the statute of limitations has run out.
