And this:

"I watched the Biden-Trump debate alone in a Lisbon hotel room, and it made me weep. I cannot remember a more heartbreaking moment in American presidential campaign politics in my lifetime — precisely because of what it revealed: Joe Biden, a good man and a good president, has no business running for re-election. And Donald Trump, a malicious man and a petty president, has learned nothing and forgotten nothing. He is the same fire hose of lies he always was, obsessed with his grievances — nowhere close to what it will take for America to lead in the 21st century." - Thomas Friedman, op-ed in NYT this morning

The Gish gallop (/ˈɡɪʃ ˈɡæləp/) is a rhetorical technique in which a person in a debate attempts to overwhelm their opponent by providing an excessive number of arguments with no regard for the accuracy or strength of those arguments.

Yes... Biden is very much the better man but his aging and slowing down has definitely given the advantage to trump... I do not want to endure another 4 years of trump. :-(

Trump felt he had to lie hundreds of times in order to be declared the winner last night. Yes, Biden did poorly but the fact that Trump felt he had to lie constantly is also a testament that Trump himself recognized he was up against a strong candidate. Now if the media would just recognize that Trump was intimidated by Biden, we could have a starting point.

Right, Biden did not do well as far as presentation, but if everyone listens to what was said, coming out of Trumps mouth, there were many lies. Many. He made remarks against Joe's character. He said Joe was the biggest liar ever. The usual Trump drivel. He sure knows how to generalize.
So these are our choices? Unless ya write in RFK.
The Democrats didn't/don't have their act together. What an injustice to the American people. And I consider myself a democrat! Ha.
Biden has said he was going to be a one term president. I guess there was just no one else. I think there were and is but not Newsome, Oprah, etc. for crying out loud.
The dems need another strong, younger person, like Obama was. Ken and Jingles I threw that in for you, so you can get gnarly about it.
Also, the debate format sucks. Deep questions to be answered in 2-3 minutes. I would much rather have seen a town hall setting.
I wonder if another thing Biden could do is to address the Nation, going over the lies that were said and setting them straight. A fantasy.
The link works and it was pointed out that the media gave Trump a platform to spew his lies and did not stop it. It wasn't a debate, as I knew it would be, but a Trump rally.
Dana Bash made a slip and called Trump, president Trump.

Standing there mouth breathing he looked like he was lost in the hallway. Wonder how much juice Dr. Jill had to give him so he could stay up after bedtime?
Personally neither impressed me that either should be running the country, but once again we'll be down to voting for the lessor of 2 evils, or in this case the more competent of 2 and Brandon just did not cut the mustard last night

Excellant fact checking, especially what Pelosi said that was so taken out of context and did not have the correct sentence, even.
