Re: Guilty!
So you think the payments from 2015 should have been categorized as campaign expenses? And for that we should remove someone’s constitutional rights? Yeah, all sounds super above board! Unless……..you’re Bill Clinton or John Edwards or Hillary Clinton or any other of 100s of demoncrat politicians and business people who have never faced anything close to this fabrication of ‘law’ and ridiculous ‘punishments’ that seem to only come to be against one high profile person who just happens to be kicking the current regime’s arse in politics and principle. Except for the fact you are cheering for the utter demise of our country al la Rome, please keep pushing and doing what you think. It’s the greatest re-election strategy ever that no politician could have created or possibly been able to afford!

Re: Guilty!
Ken. the amount Trump's camp raked in in 24 hrs after the verdict was $52.8 mil according to their camp. Also, good to note that there were 2 juries, the first was the Grand Jury that approved the charges and then this jury, which was accepted by team Trump. Vance did not pass on the prosecution, in fact when Bragg came to office the case was ready to go but Bragg put it on a back burner to reconsider which led to the 2 lead prosecutors resigning in protest. Bragg eventually came forward with a more evolved set of charges that looked even stronger than the case Vance had wanted to bring. Because Bragg's team was able to bring the solid case of receipts as well as testimony from Pecker, Daniels, the Trump accountants and insiders as well as Cohen the jury in the end was on solid ground for their decision.
Nice that you think an appeal will be successful. On what legal grounds do you see that happening?
Personally, since one of the options for sentencing is community service I would be happy to see Trump in an orange jumpsuit picking up trash on the streets of NY.

Re: Guilty!
You dipshxxs just gave your mortal hated enemy $50m+ in less than 24hrs, the Presidency again and disgust for you all by any fair-minded people who actually respect rule of law. Taking a expired misdemeanor and pretending it was a federal election violation by a state prosecutor and shoving it into a kangaroo court nearly a decade after it occurred and was passed by actual federal prosecutors is so grotesquely far from a true legal, legitimate proceeding. It will absolutely be overturned on appeal (but that wasn’t the point, just try to affect the election) and will set off repercussions you morons can’t fathom in your TDS fever sickness, all so you can scream constantly “convicted felon”. Nice job throwing out everything about America and what it stands for but in all honesty you never truly believed or supported it and have been trying to “fundamentally transform “ a once great country for a very long time! I pray every one of your schemes fail miserably.

Re: Guilty!
It isn't very complicated.
Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree. The documentation provided was incontrovertible and impossible to deny, as many of those documents bore his signature.
What made it a felony is that he did it all in furtherance of other crimes. In this case it was to hide campaign contributions and evade taxes.
If you get outside the right-wing propaganda bubble it becomes pretty obvious that there were serious crimes here, and pretty slimy ones at that.
Also, cases like this are not particularly rare. There have been almost 9800 such cases brought in New York since 2015. So it hardly seems like they singled him out for this.

Re: Guilty!
Must admit have not been following this just what was he convicted of?
Have heard rumors about his supposed affair with a porn star that did not find his actions bad enough to report them when they occurred but waited until he was shall we say more famous. If it wasn't bad enough to report when it happened then keep your mouth shut and take it to the grave.
Guess it is rather revealing how far the Dems will go to keep the leading contender out of the competition.
Guess it proves this country has passed to point of no return for sanity and common sense

Re: Guilty!
That USED to be a Republican value...Well I've been hoping to reaffirm we live in a society where we uphold the law and hold people who break it accountable for their acts.

Re: Guilty!
No, but it surely helps bring out and identify the true character of trump. This may help independents decide who they want to vote for.

I guess now we call him Convicted Felon Diaper Wearing Trump.
Maybe to show solidarity all of his cult members will go get convicted of felonies too.
